PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE  

WAYFAIR, Boston, MA

Head of Post Production, September 2020-March 2024

RESULTS: In 2023 the Wayfair Video team executed 6 Major Campaigns, 14 seasonal promos and 14 Online Video specific ads. We edited over 800 assets for the TV/OV channel and over 1000 social ads for social channels. The post team scaled output by 25% year after year with a reduced staff. The 2023 broadcast work drove around 400 million in revenue for Wayfair.

  • Oversaw post-production team at Wayfair’s in-house marketing and creative studio which included video editors, animators, motion designers, VFX artists, cinematographers and post producers.

  • As direct manager, provided team with performance and process guidance and career growth development.

  • Managed resourcing and post production timelines for editors, vfx, sound mixing, color and motion designers while also producing high quality edits for varied work streams including including broadcast TV, online video (CTV, Youtube), and organic/paid social video (Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Pinterest) 

  • Interfaced with studio and marketing senior leadership to build organizational structure and identify talent gaps and needs while creating the roadmap for the year.

  • Tracked and managed department budget and finances, including annual planning for hardware, software and server needs for the team. 

  • Implemented project management and production process refinement for post production virtual edit sessions to lead collaboration between post team, creative and marketing partners.

  • Developed and maintained contacts with top industry freelance talent and post production partners .

  • Managed several projects at once while ensuring deadlines and quality control were met.

  • Built a supportive, inclusive team environment, focused on the health and wellness of all employees, creating connections in a (mostly) remote team while leading with empathy above all else.

HILL HOLLIDAY, BOSTON, MA 

Associate Director, Lead Video Editor of Internal Post Production House, Brigade, October 2008 - August 2020

  • Worked with well-known clients like Bank of America, Cracker Barrel, Special Olympics, Dunkin’ Donuts, Party City, Chilis, Liberty Mutual, John Hancock, Planet Fitness, Sealy, Draft Kings, LG, TJX, Cigna, Novartis, Robert Half, Ahold, Smuckers, Capella, Strayer and Great Wolf Lodge

  • Led in developing Hill Hollidays Post-Production department called Brigade, a full-scale content production studio for scalable content creation, from large commercial production and post to nimble, quick-turn social content with budgets ranging from $700 to $700,000, while mentoring other editors' creative talents and simultaneously maintaining high level work on individual projects

  • Thrived and developed character under daily deadline pressures and high expectations from top creative teams and clients while balancing multiple projects at the same time

  • Acted as a Predator (Producer/Editor) for all individual projects; ensuring jobs stayed on time and on budget

  • Brought creative insight and a strategic mindset to all projects

  • Edited broadcast spots, longform content, social content, short-form documentary for varied clients over 12 plus years

  • Worked in a very fast-paced environment where the work flow constantly changed and the scope of work was different everyday. Took projects from concept to completion while working both as a team and independently

  • Helped with pre, production and post production of new business videos, put together planning videos for the Brand Strategy Department and made Media Highlights Videos for Public Relations
